1999 Jeep Cherokee Classic
Hello all, I wanted to put my Jeep XJ up on here since I would rather see it stay on the road-rather than a bunch of parts. Full disclosure: it needs a new transmission bell-housing, but the AW4 transmission was working excellent until it cracked. Also needs a new shift fork for the recently re-built NP242 t-case.
This rig has been my high-school, college, and now daily driver project that I have depended on every day. It has never let me down, but I am recently married with a new job, and just don't have the space and time to fix this one (I have an mj and a tj as well). I am sad to see it go, but at the end of the day if it is still on the road in someone elses hands - I will still be happy. The price is certainly negotiable, I just put a feeler price on the craigslist add to see what sort of offers I would receive locally. I plan to part it out at my parents place this spring if I cant sell it.

I appreciate that input XJwonders - from the lack of interest looks like a may be having to find a way to put it in myself afterall this summer... Still not sure if I wanna fix it and sell it, or use half the pieces on the other jeeps and sell the rest though. I should mention that I also have a complete set of clean,un-dented doors at my in-laws house that I could probably throw in as well (just didn't have time to put them on).

Alright, here's where i'm at - I have had some local interest but it seems to mostly be people who don't understand what is involved or whats been done. I am realistic and I realize this will take some time to fix, so I am going to drop the price to $3500.
I have plans to bring it up north to my parents in mid April and strip it down, but if somebody else wants to buy this and fix it or save me the hassle that is all good too.
Thanks for looking!

It is, I have purchased a good condition used NP242 t-case to throw in it so that it can be back on the road again as well. PM me if you are interested in taking a look/ purchasing it.
