2001 Cherokee 2wd Auto in SoCal, Excellent condition, A/C, Smog, 161k
I hate to do this, but I gotta sell my Cherokee. I have too many cars and not enough parking. Yeah I know it's 2wd but for what I used it for this hasn't been a big deal and it's the nicest I could find! I'm looking for $3800 but this is negotiable to a forum member. It's WAAAAY less than the Jeep owes me. If you think I'm way off in price, let me know.
It’s a 2-wheel drive, 4-liter six cylinder in the rare color of Steel Blue Pearlcoat. It has 161,800 miles and a clean CA title. The Jeep is in beautiful condition. It has just passed CA smog and drives perfectly. Registered till Octorber A/C is ice cold, all electrics work and there’s a great stereo fitted. Clean CA title in my name. I got the original factory build sheet from Jeep, and this Cherokee came with a bunch of options including:
Gray leather seats
Keyless entry
Light Group (Front Fog Lamps etc)
Tinted Glass
Leather wrapped steering wheel
The Cherokee has cruise control, power locks (keyless entry) , all power windows, rear wash/wipe, A/C, Tow hitch, heated rear glass, upgraded stereo, et etc. Everything works.
I bought the Jeep about two years ago and it was the best we could find. It’s totally rust and accident-free (sold new to Texas and then came to SoCal). We found this one in a dealership in Burbank and it came with a clean Carfax. Since purchase the Jeep has been perfectly maintained, and has only covered about 3,000 miles since we bought it. The following work has been done since purchase:
New Steering Box
New Throttle Position Sensor
New front brakes
Cooling system flush and new thermostat
All new Tires
New Battery
Oil Change
New Plugs
Replacement dashboard top (the old one had some cracks)
The Jeep drives absolutely perfectly: it’s never overheated or broken down. Transmission shifts perfectly, and the motor is strong and smooth. Starts first time every time. The steering box was replaced because there was a small tight spot in the old one and it was annoying. Brakes pull up strng and straight: parking brake holds well.
Paint is good: there are some faded patches in the clearcoat, especially along the top edges of the roof and on the plastic wheel-arch extensions. I’ve started refinishing the black rubber side-strips. Keyless entry works fine.
The interior is excellent: apart from some wear on the driver’s seat (but no rips) it’s very very nice. Carpets and (original) over-mats are nice, and everything works. Windows have optional factory tint. The headliner was sagging so I pinned it up until I could replace it. I never got round to the replacement so it’s still pinned up, but it’s good and clean. I took the spare tire out for the photos but it IS normally fitted.
It’s got a pretty expensive stereo: a Pioneer DEH-P6800MP which has a remote control and tilt front which removes for security. Front (door) speakers are Alpines: rears are original Jeep.
Jeep comes with:
Original key and keyless entry fob (working)
Spare Key
Haynes Manual
Receipts for work done while we’ve had the Jeep
Basically, this is the best Cherokee I could find, and I’ve improved it since we bought it. It’s not the cheapest but NICE
Please ask any questions: I'm in Los Angeles CA. 818-813-4854. Thanks fo looking guys!
Oh and I WILL be buying another when I can!!
