Complete top end at 194,000 with new head and receipts totaling $700+ in parts alone. This was done in April 2013. New OEM front interior door panels, tires and windshield at this time as well. Alloys, Power windows, Power locks, Cruise,mAM FM CD, Rear defrost and wiper. Power aid throttle body spacer.
After the above mentioned top end rebuild with the new head I was averaging 20.5 mpg mixed per tank driving back and forth to RTP area 3 times a week. At 212,xxx the trans quit pulling randomly in my drive way and it was parked in December 2013. The fluid appears to be clean and there were no prior symptoms. I purchased a stock take out HP Dana 30 and 4wd AW4 to replace the trans and convert it to 4wd. I doubt I'm going to get to this project any time soon so I've decided to throw to up here and criagslist. This jeep is very clean and would make a great staring point for someone wanting the build a rig or a clean DD from this body style Cherokee. Install a transmission and have a clean Cherokee.
