So Im moving and looking to sell my 1991 Jeep Cherokee 2 door 4x4 so I dont have to pay yet again to transport it.
As far as the price, I just stuck what NADA had listed as the low price for it. Please make me an offer, if you would like to buy it, instead of just moving on. I would rather be considering lower offers (higher offers are gladly accepted... lol) than have nothing. But unfortunately no trades.
It has the 4.0 liter High Output I-6. Its fuel injected and runs great. I changed out the injectors to neon injectors so the throttle response is really nice. It runs pretty well. It used to knock when it was cold, but then I switched to Rotella and now its great. Good oil pressure, runs cool.
It has a 5 speed manual transmission out of a 99 Wrangler (I have the original as a spare, but the spare needs synchros). It has the NP231 transfer case, and the front axle hub actuator works. I installed a steel shift fork on the front axle when the original aluminum part broke. It has the Dana 30 front axle and a Dana 35 rear axle. Disk brakes in front, drums in the rear.
The engine runs well and cool, transmission shifts good.
I changed out the little wing/quarter windows on the doors to ones that swing open, which really cool you down when you drive.
It has a Rubicon Express "Superflex" 3.5 kit. It has Cragar D-window black steel wheels 15x7 and 33x12.5-15 Mickey Thompson Baja Claw tires in good shape.
I rolled the front and rear fender lips so the tires have some room to flex.
I also ripped out the carpet in the rear cargo area and coated it with bed liner, so you dont have to worry about ruining carpet back there with cargo or pets
The body is in ok shape considering this was my trail rig. The previous owner did a bondo patch job on the passenger side that was undetectable until I tried to roll that lip. The paint on the roof peeled, so I painted it flat black. The hood paint is peeling as well.
Overall its a cool rig that really hasnt been abused and a good starting point if you want to do something extreme OR something ready to go for mild trail riding.
