Zone lifts
So I'm about to lift my 2000 Cherokee sport, I've done some research and the zone 4.5 lift is cheap and I've heard it's good, any people with this lift?

Just remember at 4.5 inch lift you need other things like a new track bar a sye or t case drop and longer brake lines. And if the lift kit don't come with shocks you need those also.

Brake line drops front and rear and a transfer case drop. I had braided lines from another project I used and put a SYE in. The stock track bar is fine for light wheeling. And it does come with shocks. Standard or gas.
I used to sell and install these kits.

BS with a 4 1/2 lift you need other items to go with it and that kit doesn't have them. First is an SYE not and TC drop kit and you will need a good adj. track bar and at that height Adj. U/LCA's are needed as well to take care of the front differential. Oh yeah you will new wheels for the XJ of the proper size if a 15 then 15x8 with 3.75" of BS that will take care of up to 35x12:50's. I'm sure you know the Zone springs are made in China like most others of the cheaper kits.
Its a big step going from a 3" lift to a 4 1/2" I know did it last year and used all my base 3" leafs and coils to do it. It still cost me over $3k more to do it and that's on the cheap side that I recall.
You might want to consider a 3" lift instead one you can build on later to go to 4 1/2" when you have more cash. The Rustys 3" full leaf/coil kit (all American made) with shocks and all hardware is $438 all extra you would need would be an Adj track bar ( get a better one that will be good for the 4 1/2" also) and a TC drop kit. Stock control arms and brake lines can be used just relocate the brackets for the brake lines on a 3". That is all the parts you need to buy you will need the proper wheels always with the right BS 3.75" on a 15x8" wheel to clear the LCA and frame. This is the exact my 4 1/2" lift is based on and it has better flex than just using 4 1/2" leafs because I used 1 1/2" Boomerang Shackles. You may want to buy or build some sway bar disconnects for more flex off road.
Good luck on whatever you decide.

Buddy it needs a lot of extras to be done correctly, your just fooling yourself. I bet the front differentials pinion angle is way out also as you need Adj U/LCA's and at 4 1/2" you do need new brake lines if it flex's at all just relocating the lines like for a 3" won't work. Search here and find all the requirements for what size lift you want.

You also need to remember, 95% of the people don't wheel hard. Daily driving with a little weekend fun. You don't need a SYE or an adjustable track bar and other trinkets. If you wheel hard, yes, you need those and more. The lower arms they give you in the kit are perfect. You don't need fancy brake hoses since the kit comes with hose drops.

Guess you never read the minimum requirements for a 4 1/2"
lift either no matter how you use it. That's a suprise to me as long as you have been around and even say that, just foolish.

I have been doing this a long time and need to consider the customers budget on everything. A less expensive lift from the same company is one of those.
