Default ::ZJ Drive Shaft Refurb::

I recently bought a front drive shaft off of ebay from a 93 ZJ with the V8. I snagged it for just over $50. this is a steal for me because i could not use a regular XJ front shaft when i do an SYE because i have the ax15 which is 2inches shorter in the rear. this means i needed a longer shaft. This one is 33.3 inches long

The only problem is that it is very old so it is in need of some cleaning up before it goes on the jeep. The seller insured me that the hydrolic (the splined expendable part) still works as well as the u joints and it is not cracked or bent.

I will still be replacing the u joints with some spicer greasables. But i am not so sure how to go about cleaning it up and painting it.

Tell me what you think i should do to clean it up without messing up the balance of it.
And tell me what u joints you think are best to use. Im not spending over $20 per u joint.
Thanks!

Here are some pictures of it. The last Picture is what Iron Rock Offroad does to refurbish theirs.

Well they probably sand blast or chemical bath them, i'd just take a wire brush to it, then just prime and paint it.
