ZJ discs to XJ44..done it?
Running into something that I hadn't read about.. wondering if anyone else has also.
I have the ZJ caliper brackets redrilled and mounted, using the correct Teraflex spacer for ZJ discs using the XJ retaining plate (not TJ D44). Axleshafts are installed..
I seem to have issues with the rotor seating fully on the XJ D44 shafts.. did you have to enlarge the center hole here also?
The 44's wheel studs "shoulder" passes through but it appears the axleshaft has a slight taper that's stopping the rotor from seating just right, it wants to rock a bit. The rotor seems to be lug and hub centric so I assume I can just remove some material on rotor to get it seated correctly.
Anyone see any problem with my thinking?

Think I know of which you speak.. the guy selling the disc kits?
Thought that was a sale ad.. didn't realize there was tech within.. i'll have to check and see what/how he recommends the clearancing.

Let us know. I'd love rear discs on my MJ with a 44.

I appreciate the assistance, but that link tells me nothing I didn't already know. I have the backing plates modified, the Teraflex spacer and new bearings/seals on my axleshafts. Everything installed into axle.. then found the issue with rotors.
I posted on NAXJA too, some guys have responded that they also had to clearance the rotors. I have a hunch TJ rotors might already be clearanced.. i'll find out when I go pick up a new set.
Cruiser, i'll update my build thread over there..
Thanks again.. off to the garage.
