Default zj disc brake swap

checked out the jy to try and find parts for this swap and ran into a couple of 97-98 zj's with a dana 44. my question is, are these the same brakes? or do i need to find one with a 35 in the rear?

that's kinda what i figured but i was hoping not since I've found the 44 and not the 35 yet

ya, the jy i went to this time is new to me and i was not impressed. the guy who owns the place was a real dick about any questions i had too.

i found two 44's and both were under 98's that were v8 and loaded

wow dana 44s? your lucky i dont have any out here, they are all dana 35s, you should just take the whole axle and throw it in your jeep haha

there just as much junk as the 35... not a bolt in swap either... aluminum housings are a waste...

i think your confused with the XJ dana 44's and the ZJ/WJ dana 44's... XJ dana 44's are a bolt in and not aluminum... ZJ/WJ's are junk

Xj's are leaf sprung in the rear... grand Cherokees are coil sprung...
