Xj to zj
Any he would be great!!!!
I got a 96 xj with a 5.5 rubicon extreme duty lift. The frame is bent pretty badly. So I picked up a 95 grand Cherokee. Will the lift off the xj work for the front end? I'm going to get the components for the rear just trying to save some cash.
I also want to use the xj motor, transmission, and transfer case. The motor was rebuild the transfer case has been gone through "slip yoke elemenator". Will xj drive Trane work in the grand Cherokee?

cant speak to the motor, but I have swapped all the front suspension & t-case components before, no issues, probably wont get the same amount of lift but it will be negligible.

The engine will work, but you would have to change the alternator/ A/C compressor bracket to the ZJ bracket. The XJ transmission won't work for the ZJ. The front suspension on the XJ and ZJ is the same. The rear suspension is completely different.

correct the trans mount setup is a little different/frame rails Im sure you could modify it to work, or make some additions/subtractions because they probably will not sell you the crossmember alone for a zj. I asked rough country if they would and they said fawk no.

Personally if I had a ZJ. I wouldn't waste time with crappy Chrysler transmissions and swap in an AW4.
