Xj sway bar mounting hardware
I am a new proud owner of an xj. I have one issue bc the previous owner removed both front and rear away bars instead of the quick disconnect end links. I purchased new bars but I don't have the correct size hardware to mount them. Anyone know the correct size? I'm also thinking stainless.

Stainless hardware gawls far to easily, especially when threading into a locking nut/captive fastener. Don't use it.
Head down to your local JY and grab the bolts off an XJ.

So far nothing available and I'd rather use new hardware. I'm considering welding the brackets at my shop. Bad idea?

Bad idea since the bushings require periodic replacement.
I believe they are the same thread size as your bumper mounting bolts. pull one and try it. If it fits, take it to your favorite hardware store, and match the threads. The length should be approx. 1.5-1.75"
