Default XJ rustys 4.5 in lift

with all the parts that come in the complete 4.5 spring pack from rustys is there a need for any other parts? Front 4.5" coil springs
• Rear 4.5" leaf springs
• Fixed front lower control arms
• Front hydro preformance shocks
• Rear hydro prformance shocks
• Adjustable trac bar
• Front Sway Bar Drop Kit
• Transfer case drop kit
• Brake line extension kit
• Grade 8 U-Bolts
• 6 degree shims

What are the shims for?
do I need to get a sye?
longer drive shaft?
Thanks for any help in advance

The shims are to angle the rear end correctly so the driveshaft isnt in a bind.

Tcase drop will work, but a SYE is better if you can afford one.

I guess his kit doesnt come with upper control arms?

One way to go for the rear driveline is a hack-n-tap style sye. They're only $200 from IRO.

You cut or "hack" the output shaft of the t case and then tap the shaft to bolt a new yoke to the output shaft

I have this exact lift on mine, Check out my Albums.

There are no upper CA's with the kit.

If i were to do it again i would have purchased Uppers and had both the uppers and lowers adjustable. Also the brake line extensions are nice but i would go ahead and grab some longer ones. You can pick up a set of oem 97 chevy pickup v8 2wd lines. They are 7" longer than stock xj lines. they run around 17 each at AA

Also i would pick up some disco's. Not from Rusty's, they are extreamly loud and hard to disco. I sold them and purchased jks's. They are amazing and alot easier to disco. Well worth the extra money

Just use the shims and TC drop and you should be fine. I would suggest pb blasting every bolt before you start. I had to use pb and heat on the cross member bolts.

If you have anymore questions, let me know.

you really do not need upper control arms at 4.5", but it is still a good idea
