Default XJ Rear Lift Options?

Hey guys,

Have an 01 XJ that I put a 4.5" BDS kit on. I ran the 5" leafs instead of the 3" with the 1.5" shackles. The 5" leafs are long and require a shackle. I have a set of ironman 4x4 shackle relocation brackets that I have not put in yet.

My question is, should I run the reIocators I got, and end up around 6.5" I believe, or pickup a set of liquid iron industries leaf sliders. I'm not trying to go super huge with the rig, still want to daily it.

Thanks guys!

Take a leaf or two out of the pack and see where you end up.

Leafs are still going to be too long.

I meant take a couple out and use the relocation brackets. That way you will stay around the height you want.

Start from the second from the bottom. Take one out, put it back together and install the relocation brackets. If your still too tall, take out the next leaf. Taking anything out of the top reduces the spring rate a lot and you won't be able to hold much weight anymore.

Why not try and trade for a 3.5" leaf pack first?

I'm just trying to hold onto the BDS leafs I got because I spent good money on them and they have a great warranty as well...

Your other option is to get the no lift shackle relocations. I lost about an inch of lift installing and goin from a vertical to 45 degree angle.

So what is your set up for springs and shackles and amount of lift? I've been following this topic because I'm sorta in the same boat where Ive got to replace my springs, etc and want about 5-6 of lift.

Well I have 3" bds leafs, two leafs taken out, with 1.5" boomerang shackles and hd offroad's no lift shackle relocation and I'm at 2" of lift. If I didn't take the leafs out, I'd be at 5-6"
