Xj noises

Hello from over the pond

I drive a 98 4 litre xj with a few mods

rear discs brakes homebrew bumpers, sliders and a 5" lift

had a few noise issues over the past year due to lift and other things

changed transfer case to pre 95 as longer prop used, changed front axle and front prop

well still giving me grief in 4wd ok in 2

grinding noise

well had to clear rear diff as was a bit heavy with right foot and blew a shaft (running 31 cooper muds with a powertrax locker) and when I stripped the diff it turns halfway real easy then the other half is hard to turn as though the ring is warped

never heard of anyone warping a ring before any ideas out there

Sorry, had to decipher the accent...

Is the Transfer case grinding or is it the front axle? If Case, then bad chain or worse. Is ring warped or wobbling on a bent axle?

mike means the rear axle for the 'tighntnes' like the pinion ring is bent. warped.
ive never come across this before, is it possible
