xj lift in mj with xj axles ????
the search feature sucks on here,but im looking into getting a 87 mj ,question will a lift kit for a cherokee fit, i will be putting in xj axles as well d60 an 44 from g2.before some helpful member gets on here an says some dumb stuff,,,i know mjs are spring under an tht the springs are longer ,an also tht the front from tranny crossmember forward are the same as the xj,i could go look an measure the mj to see if they will fit ,but in afghanistan now so kinda hard lol,thank for the help

I think you'll have to use MJ springs (for the correct length) but invert the centering pin to go into the spring perches on the xj axle.

Well depending on how high of lift, you could just do spring over in the rear with stock MJ leafs. There are numerous ways to lift leafs by mix and matching or building new mounts.

lookin for 6.5 to 8 ,an lookin to put in d60 in the back an d44 in the front,d60 is only fiew bucks more..it would be easier to put in a cherokee lift an axles,but with some more research an the distance from perch to perch is differnt,so i guess i can get a blank axle with no perches an weld on were needed..also plans on a 5.7 ls1.which is why the heavy axles

As ome one who knows just a lil about lifting and modding MJ's. For the most part the front of the MJ/xj are the same except the MJ has extra bracing on the LCA mount, and has an extra cab mount that gets in the way on some LA kits.
For the rear there are several ways to do a lift. Motion Offroad sells MJ specific leaf springs, and unless he changed manufacturers they are built by Alcan.
There is always doing a spring over, and then run some Chevy drop shackles and that should put you right at the height you want.
