xj expedition gear question
Hi guy i have a 92 xj Im makeing expedition, cross country rig. So anyway i have a gear and axle question. I have another hp 30 and 29er 8.25 what Im wondering is i know i have to regear. But i plan on putting tons of extra weight in the rig and on top and i may pull a small trailer Im gonna run a 33 12.5 i was thinking 4.10s. But should i go a different route do to weight and possible trailer any one have any experience.
If this is in the wrong place please move thanx

I would figure out how much weight your taking first.Make two list things you can't live with out and things you would like to have.Use a bathroom scale and start weight stuff and adding it up on the list.

I'm the thinking type i think everything out i still screw up but i keep a plan b and c ready for those cases.Simple stuff like a life straw and fire starter in the glove box is a good back up plan.If you do go with a trailer a lot of weight can be put in it vs the jeep.

If your just starting to get in to expedition style i would wait for a trailer just make sure it fits your needs.Just starting out stick to the basic camping needs and trail gear you should be fine. With just 2 people lay the back seat down you got a ton of room and the roof too if needed.
