Xj 4.5 on 5 lug pattern swap or upgrade.
Ok so I have a 2000 xj I am building into a street able trail jeep. Just bought a set of newer rubicon wheels that are 5 on 5. My xj has 5 on 4.5. Been looking at the adapters you can buy any opinions on quality and life expectancy. Is there any conversion kicks to upgrade my Hun to a 5 on 5 new style hub. Or could I swap or part together something.

The front you could swap in the knuckles out from a jeep wj but that will take new steering and a track bar and track bar mount on the axle. The rear a machine shop could redrill the axles and brakes. The cheapest option is sell the rims and get some with the right bolt pattern.

I used spidertrax adapters for those wheels. Got them for $100 a pair at 4 wheel parts. People say not to use adapters but I wheeled a yj for over a year with them never had any issues. Use thread locker on the bolts you should be fine.
