will stock shocks off a wrangler i think 1997 YJ its coils front and back fit my xj?

U mean tj they quit making yj's in 95/96. Yj has leafs all the way around.The shocks mount the same on tj as they do on a xj.

ya sorry i forget what years they are this is coils all the way around. do u know are they the same length?

Depends on if you have any sort of lift. They both mount the same but the sleeve in the rear lower bushing needs to go.

well i have 2 inches of lift but stock shocks that are no good and his are pretty new but there also stock hight im getting them for free.

You will gain nothing by putting stock length TJ shocks on your budget boosted XJ. The TJ shocks actually spec out a fuzz shorter than stock XJ shocks. If you're pinching pennies, find a set of take off JK shocks. Those can be converted for XJ use and is very common for BB lifts.

ok thanks i didnt know, i will look into that or just wait i want to go to 4 inches of lift this summer just thought it might work since they were free.

Ive been using YJ front shocks(Monroe Sensatrac) on the front of my Long arm setup. They measure almost 25in long. i run them with 3in shock extenders
