Hello all. Just bought my first Jeep a couple of months ago. It's a black 97 SE.
So far I have only done a couple of mods.
Upgraded instrument cluster and headlight wiring harness.

My question today is about window glass. I want tinted glass and am trying to decide between tinting the existing glass or swapping it out for factory tinted glass. I have manual window cranks and was wondering if the glass from an electric door will mount to a manual door. Is it even worth the effort? What year models would be compatible with my 97? I realize I will have to tint the existing hatch glass as it is glued in.

I have spent a lot of time the last 2 months trolling this and other Jeep forums and have learned a lot of useful stuff. This jeep has only 94k miles on it and I expect to be driving it for many years. I don't have any plans to do a lift in the near future due to time constraints but I will be on the lookout for the required parts at a killer price for future upgrade.

Have your glass tinted its a lot easier and if you don't like it easy to remove too.

Think I paid 250ish for my tint from a company I have used for 10+ years. Unless the glass is free I don't think it would be worth all the hassle.
