Default Winch identification help

Before I get started I apologize in advance if this thread is in the wrong place. I really didn't know where else to put it and saw a few other winch posts here so this is where I decided to put it.

Today I got a winch that a friend gave to me for free but he doesn't know much about it. It is obviously a Mile Marker but I can't find any other marking on it that give me more information. He thinks it is a 9000 pound but he isn't sure. No manual or installation instructions or anything. Not even a remote, so I haven't even found out if it works yet. Does anyone have any idea what it is??? The only thing I've found on the Internet is that this winch has a Permanent Magnet motor, but still no other specs. Also can someone tell me if they think the motor will even work by the looks of it?

Do you just have the drum or do you have the solonoid box as well? You'll need both and you can get a new remote or just put it on a toggle switch in the cab. You should be able to hook a battery to it and see if it'll turn. Get on MM's site to see which post to hook to.

Got the winch to work. The brushes on the motor were seized. Once they were worked lose and a good clean of the inside I put it back together and installed it. Works great! Just need to make a remote now!

Can't beat a free winch, be sure to test it out before you need it...

I know I'm thrilled! I will test it hopefully soon, but I was getting some other parts powder coated so I took the tow hook off the cable to get powder coated as well.
