I'm not sure about yj shocks but I have TJ shocks on my 94 xj.

They will work on the front but you have to press the bar out of your old shock bushings and remove the sleeve out of the yj shocks and press the bars into the new ones

Oh ok because I work at autozone and I can get a discount and those shocks would be cheaper than using actual 3 inch lift shocks so what is the best option then

Go to some offroad shop and ask for some good set stock JK (new wranglers) shocks that they are getting ready to throw away from a lift they did for someone else. You will have to press out the barpins but its not too bad and and i recommend Bar pin eliminators out the upper rears so you dont have to worry about braking the bolts in the future

I have YJ shocks in the rear. Like said before you have to press out that bar and put it in but its not hard.
