Will stock size cherokee shocks work with 2" lift?

I am going to be installing a two inch lift in my cherokee and will be replacing the shocks too. Will I need to get longer shocks or will the stock size work?
I am looking at buying Monroe Sensa Tracs as they seem to get good reviews.

thanks

From what I could tell when I was installing a 2" spacer lift a stock sway bar would be right around the same as stock shocks when it came to limiting down travel.

I've heard that stock JK shocks are roughly the same as 2" XJ lift shocks and basically bolt right up. I see those all the time as takeoffs for practically nothing on Craigslist.

They will work fine

Talk to grimus and pick up some RC 8000 hydros. Only 30$/ea + ship

Yeah I put a 2" lift with shackles on my 98 and stock rear shocks just do not work. Can't suggest any tho been cruising with no shocks :-D. Only because I'm going with the budget lift and I'll just end up needing taller shocks.

I have 3 inches of lift on my 87 and I'm running stock shocks in the rear I don't know why yours would be any different

You could always add bar pin eliminators to gain about an inch. Or pick up a set of JK Rubi shock for under $100. They are much better than the stockers too.

You should be okay, but as previously stated you could get BPE's for the rear and shock extenders for the fronts. But for the prices of most BPE kits you could almost buy one shock lol..

You would be okay only if you drove on street all the time. I broke a mount off my axle with stock shocks with a 2". So if its for street go for it. But bouncing around in the desert and climbing ****. No thanks

On my 2" lift I'm running Monroe Sensa Tracs for a ZJ in the front and for MJ in the rear.

Did you decide which shocks to get. I also am in the works for a 2 inch lift.

I also run the sensi tracs, coil over load assist types on the rear, stock shock applications. 3.5" lift, shock extender mount blocks. (check out Gojeep.com for the desigh of shock blocks) Stock shock will work with your 2". It is important to extend your snubbers. Don't let your shocks be your up travel limiters, it will kill the shock and the mount point.
Monroe makes the sensi track (made on this side of the ocean) and a lot of the other brands on the market.
