where to find 97 xj backseats.
Hey all,
In the process of purchasing exactly what it says up there... got it only for 1G with less than 100k! I am purchasing an OME lift, either BFG or Pirelli tires, and unfortunately.. it doesn't have a backseat.
Because my mom is going to be using it, I think she should have the benefit of all four seats in her passenger car.
Online was my first try, no such luck.
Junkyard maybe?
And how modified will this project have to be? if anyone has experience with replacing seats, or FINDING them, I would appreciate your help!!

ps- I do own a wrangler tj that has these horribly ugly back seats... if they are compatible I wouldn't mind doing without them...

Junk yards are a good source, also try craigslist.Alot of people will part out their xj's on there!There should not be any modification if the xj is has none.

x2 JY or CL. Personally, I'd get a set of rears from a ZJ/WJ. You get a 60/40 split with them. If you want to know what's involved, check the link in my signature.

Go try a junkyard. I just picked up a back seat from a '97 for my '91 for $31. It was a direct fit with not a single issue. It was in almost perfect condition.
I'm heading there today for a Power Brake Booster, hopefully some front seats and door weather stripping.

Wow! what great help already. I read the post on how the seats where swapped, and I checked out car-part.com... which gave me a ton of results. As soon as I have my truck in the garage I'll have some pics posted up..
