wheel hop?

front rear ?...in rear it could be old bushings in the leafs wore out sloppy springs ...shatty wore out shocks letting axle hop . Front end can have wrap/hop despite popular opinion that links have none but despite having anti wrap built in with links wore out bushings will let the axle torque roll and wrap ...and shatty shocks will let your axle hop up front as well ...There are a handfull of reasons for hop ,but start with making sure everythings tight first .

Hello Jeepers! I am experiencing severe problems w/rear wheel hop. I am driving a stock 99 Cherokee, dana 30 front axle, dana 35 rear axle and np 242 transfer case, which is all stock. Actually, the thing is all stock, I'm sorry to admit.
When I'm crawling through the ravines here in the Salton Sea area, I while am climbing out will get the right rear wheel hopping. Sometimes I can back off the throttle and climb out or have to roll back down and get a running start.
What are the potential culprits other than old and tire rear leafs and shocks?
I intend on throwing on a Rusty's Offroad 3" lift w/new springs and shocks. Are there over the axle traction bars that are not major $$ or something I can put together? Or do I just be good on the throttle until I get my money together for the lift?

Also, in the future best to start your own thread rather than revive one that is 3+ years old.
