Default Wheel Adapters: Rugged Ridge vs Spidertrax

My gf's dad offered me a set of stock rims and new 31" tires he had for his 86 CJ7 that he sold a few years back. For my 00 XJ I know I need to adapt from a 5x4.5 to the 5x5.5 lug pattern. Ive looked online and found products from Rugged Ridge and Spidertrax that seem to be the best quality. My problem is that I have very limited experience with both companies. RR i know only because of the name and spidertrax I hadnt known about until today. Anyone have an opinion on either of these products? One other thing, will I have the right clearance on top if they have stock CJ7 rims? Not worried about tire rub on the sides because the spacers should take care of that. Thanks for the input!

How wide are the 31s? It doesn't take much to fit a 31...

Yeah the width shouldnt be a problem, Im not sure exactly on that. With the spacers it should have enough clearance on the the sides, but I was trying to figure out if id have enough clearance on the top, dont think i should have an issue, but im more concerned with getting the right spacers..

It'd be much cheaper to remount those 31's to your current XJ wheels vs $200 on spacers.. and CJ wheels are just "dated".

For clearance "on top" as your asking.. you'll need a budget boost at minimum. 31's are too tall for a stocker, unless you cut the wheelwells open. Plenty of info around here for either option..

I run spidertrax. Seem good so far (6,000 miles). Re-tighten after 300-1000 miles.
