If by performance you mean more hp, none. Most people who do the injector swap experience a smoother idle and acceleration. Some people notice an mpg gain.
A 99 4.0 would want the 784's.

I've had 784s for a while and finally got them in today. In the process I broke every single one of the harness clips to injector. 18 years turns hard plastic into fortune cookies.
My query is what is the best replacement for the OEM injector harness? Will any harness do or do I need to holler at my dealership?

There are now 12 hole injectors available. I have no idea whether they're actually an improvement over the 4 hole injectors. But people are buying them because moar is bettah!
This guy sells both the 4 hole and 12 hole injectors and gets good reviews as a vendor. He also seems to be pretty knowledgeable about the injectors and responds to questions.

That's a great line.

I purchased the 4 pins from ksuspension. Very pleased, re-manned but at 99 was still a great price for a much needed swap. Look him up on youtube as well the install video he has is exceptional. 30 minute job.
