Ok so I have stock 30/35 combo and running 32's. Put on a lift now have loads of room, the 32's look tiny and I wanna go 35's. So what all will I need to upgrade to make it all reliable. This is not a DD. . Thanks!!!

from what i've heard you should go with a ford 8.8, 40 (if you can find a good 44 grab it) or a 9 inch just check your local jy and maybe it will have an older cherokee that had the 44 rear end tow package... feel free anyone to corect me if i'm wrong but thats what i've gathered

The easiest way to replace the turdy five is to go to a junkyard and find a 8.25 29spline it's a direct bolt in.

The d30 is fine although you might want to beef it up a bit. The 8.25 29spline came in the 97 and newer years and looks alot like the dana 35 although the 8.25 has a flat bottom. Make sure the 8.25 you get is in a 97 or newer because the 8.25 also came in other years, although it isn't as strong because the 96 and older 8.25 are a 27 spline. I hope all of that makes sense.

Yea I'm following and thanks. What all would I need to beef up in the front? Just the axels? Im eventually looking at locking the front and back at some point too

Might look into a truss and some chromly axle shafts and if your planning on running 35's I would seriously look into regearing.

So pretty much a 97+ 8.25 in back and a beefed up 30 in front(front and back re-geared) will be good enough for locked 35's?

You can buy 1541H axle shafts for the 29 spline 8.25 and that will increase axle strength by about 30% over stock shafts. Adding a full carrier locker to the rear will also help the 8.25 live longer. For the front d/30 4340 chrome molly shafts with 760 u-joints and a selectable locker will help it last longer.
Living in Florida you will not be rock crawling or climbing much of anything, and that will help some just don't hammer down all the time.

if your asking these questions your not ready for 35s IMO. Spend some time a read up on your rig and the parts before you jump into it 35s on any rig put a lot more stress on everything lot higher chance for broken parts.
