What Steering Is This?

Just pick up this XJ and I'm trying to figure out what brand of steering it has. I can't find any numbers on the rod ends either. It looks similar to the Serious kit or the Ruff Stuff kit but, the tubing is tapped for the ends instead of having weld in inserts.

Just did some more googling and it looks like this is the Rugged Ridge steering. It also seems to be impossible to find a good review on the RR kit. I've only driven the jeep a few miles so I can't comment on it but, if anyone has personal experience, chime in.

I just installed a Rusty's Offroad steering system that looks just like that, except maybe a bit thicker.

Not even close to one of my kits..........

It's not the RR kit, the drag link is horizontal not vertical like yours. Looks a lot like an older Rusty's kit.

It looks like the geometry is off........................Might be designed to work with an OTA track-bar.
Do you get bump-steer with that setup?

I just got rid of the Rusty's set up and with that one, the lower TRE on the drag link connected to a drilled out part of the tie rod. On this set up, the lower TRE on the drag link is mounted to the passenger side TRE, just like the Serious, JCR, or Ruff Stuff kit. The tubing is 1.25" .25" wall.

Quality and strength? No. Same style of linkage? Yes. Do I wish that it was your steering? Like you wouldn't believe.

Other than some tie rod roll, it steers pretty well. No bump steer at all and tracks straight. The Rusty's set up that I just got rid of was terrible though! Mad bump steer and the tie rod ends would go bad like every 2 months
