What springs to run with fox shocks?
Im going to be buying either some fox 2.0 emulsions or resevoir shocks soon. The only problem i have is that my rubicon express springs are wayyy to stiff. I would like to run an AEV progressive rate or new currie progressive rate springs but they're made for a 4 inch lift on a tj which would only net me about 3 inches on my xj. I dont really like the idea of running spacers either. Plus i want a spring that is long as hell when theres no weight on it for alot of downtravel without my spring unsetting. Im sitting between 5-5.5 up front right now and i would like to stay at that same height for belly clearance on the hammers trails. So my question is what spring is going to provide alot of travel but not be nearly as stiff as the RE springs and b very smooth with my new fox shocks?

This is my opinion but its not the right setup for everyone (spendy), get a set of fox coilovers so you can mess with the springs (different rates)and compression and rebound valving. They use eibach coils (I believe..its been a while)so springs are plentiful. There's a rate calculators everywher and google coilovers on a cherokee and see what other people run. If your stuck with wanting to run emulsions or remotes and coils, I really like the way my fabtech 8" TJ coils ride and flex and they are roughly 7 inch lift for my cherokee, at least clears my 35s.

spring is still fully seated in the bucket. wont be much difference if any with the coil spacer. these are fat bob's coils that were well broken in (got them used) and they are soft as hell.
