What spark plugs to use with 784 injectors?
Ok, I was talking to a guy at a Jeep dealership (scary, I know) and mentioned the 784 injector swap. He said that it was a good idea, as long as you get spark plugs that are set up for the injectors, like some that can handle the excess heat and pressure (I think that's what he said). I'm sure this is one of those things that I could not worry about, and never have an issue, but it makes me wonder. Any ideas???

Are you sure he can spell 784?

Those fancy spark plugs do better on other engines, not the 4.0's

I just use NGKs in all my Jeeps. Standard copper ones.

Awesome, thanks guys! I figured he was just making things complicated. And yes, none of those fancy spark plugs work on Jeeps very well, which is great because stock ones are cheap!

Okay. After reading this post, I'm sold on NGK. Now what heat range or plug number? NAPA lists NGK 7252. Mine is a 1994 Cherokee, 4.0L with over 200,000 miles on it. I'm doing a complete ignition change with plugs, plug wires, rotor, cap. Having trouble passing Ca smog. Just one of the things I'm doing along with new Catalytic Converter and new O2 sensor.
Should I consider a 'hotter' plug? I'll pull the plugs in there now and see how they look.

Just use the stock application.
