What product to use to line Rockers?
I just wondering what people have used to line their rockers. I don't want to use the roll on liner. I've seen the rustolium bed liner and the duplicolor but I'm not sure what the best is to use.

I've used both of the others listed, and both peeled off in less then a month, even with 5+ coats. I helped a friend herculine the bed of his TJ about a year ago, we spent a full day prepping it then rolled it on super thick. Not a chip anywhere and no peeling whatsoever.

I have to agree. I used herculiner on my rockers and my rear quarter panel. It's taken hits from rocks and trees and never chipped or anything. I used the rustoleum spray on on my bumpers and rock rails, and I have to touch it up every week even when I'm just driving on the road to work and back.
I would get some good paint to paint over the herculiner though, if you live anywhere where you get lots of sun. The Texas sun had my herculiner faded to gray after about 3 months. But that crap won't chip or come off for anything.

Yeah I don't like the roll on. I don't think it looks all that great. and I talked to a professional painter and some other guys that have used the duplicolor and they said that this is the best way to go for what I want. its all about the prep you put into it.

I originally used roll on duplicolor, and it sucked. Peeled off after the first trip on the trail. I have since then used the spray on rustoleum liner. As long as you do the right prep work, it will hold up great. Just make sure you sand it down really good, primer it, and then put on two good coats, it will hold up great. I am telling from over two years of experience with that paint on my fenders/rockers and quite a few trails.
