What brand lift do I have?
My Jeep came with a lift and the previous owner did not say which brand he used. I measured from the front center wheel hub to the fender flare and it looks to be a three inch lift (20 inches). I found a Rough Country sticker between the seats while cleaning it this weekend, so it looks like it may be that. The front springs and shocks (all 4) are silver.
Also, it looks like the rear leafs are going bad. They measured 19.75 inch from center wheel hub to flare, with the left rear side sitting lower (about 0.25 inch) than the right. They should be sitting at 20.5 inches, correct?
How can I tell if an add-a-leaf was installed vs. a full leaf pack?
Are there markings on the springs or shocks that I can find to determine the brand of lift?
I'll upload some pics when I get home from work.

just did a google search on the numbers that are on the shocks and Rough Country comes up.
The numbers on the leafs don't really get any results except a NAXJA thread that the guy thinks they are upcountry leafs but is not sure.

Would Rough Country sell me just the leaf pack for a three inch lift? Who else would sell a three inch lift leaf pack? I searched and couldn't find a solid answer to either question.
Thanks!

you could either go to a local spring shop (they're not just for trucks) and get them to make you up a set.
or buy some rubicon express leafs (they will be 3.5 but are good quality) or rustys has some nice leaf packs too.
there are others as well, you don't need to use rough country in particular.

I've read that a lot of these 3.5 packs actually give more lift than advertised. I don't want the rear sitting a lot higher than the front.
If I get a 3.5 pack, do I need to make any mods like new u-bolts or shackles? I'm trying to keep the cost low, though I don't mind paying for a quality leaf pack.

Here is a pair of 3" springs with u-bolts which are required.
Just need to know which rear axle you have.

That's a RC 3" add-a-leaf kit. Ditch the leafs and get some quality ones from Rusty's, IRO, or , Zone. Pick up a set of Bilstein 5100's if cash allows if just grab some generic white body's and call it done

I just installed some in my 90 4 door. I can't really tell you how much lift they provided as I have shackle relocation brackets and longer shackles. It's also difficult to accurately measure lift as I have installed front flares on the rear to open up the wheel well. BUT... you can check http://www.arbusa.com/uploads/PDF/accessorizeYourRig/jeepCherokeeXJ.pdf for their listed lift heights. They also offer a CS033RB that provides less lift. Also gives the option to remove the third leaf from the pack to drop the lift 1/2-1". I am very happy with the ride.

If you are interested in upgrading leaf springs don't settle for rough country. Buy a nice high quality pair. 4wheel Parts has nothin but the good stuff. Pair of rubicon express 3.5" is about 174.99 and a pair of coil springs for the same price. very high quality and well worth the money.
