Default what axle's out of what?

so this is it i finally blew my rear d44 and d30 and t case all in one shot. i have been through 8.25 d30's d35's d44's im not puttin them in any more there junk! buddie says get dana 60's so which axles combo would be best for me and out of which vehicle can i get them??

right now i have 39" i will be going down to 37's soon i go in water hills rocks little mud holes i do everything i drive it every day to i do a little of everything whatever comes my way it i have those rusty coils they dont flex to much so it is more of a trail truck the odd rock hill and mud hole

i dont want to cut the axles down and get axles made i just want to put under weld them up and go. i mean how much wider are they (dana 60 i asume from i dont kno) then the original axles?

60s are full width can range from 65-79 inches WMS to WMS dodge's are the narrowest chevys are pass side drop and fords are the most common. i'd do a 60 front 9in rear out of a 70 era F250 or 350 if you can find one. the front axle is going to run you anywhere from 200-600 depending on condition

so the dodge is the narrowest and the shaft is driver side? my buddie just told me he has some power wagons he dose not know what axles they have. slant 6 in them ? if not a 9 inch whats with the dana 60 rear and is that in the same dodge truck?

those axles are used is that worth it? i dont kno anything about those i asume the breaks are on the pinion?

you will not break those with a xj it take some fab but can be done therea couple of jeep that ride with me that are converted

thats the going price those are 5 tons they make 2.5 ton there on the jeep above,yes thats the breaks

so what are those coils from? there huge. where do the 2.5 ton axles come out of and are they skinnier

Rockwells weigh a **** ton. You would have to reinforce the whole unibody. I think its overkill for an xj.
