What do you guys think of the rear differential being welded???

Search would yield you 1000000000 post on the subject but to answer you. If its a DD then dont do it. if its a trail warrior then do it up.

Depends on the axle. I wouldn't weld a 35 but my 60 is welded.

D35 shouldnt be welded under any circumstances but that said, C8.25 if its a trail rig do er up. if its a DD then leave it as is and learn to Two foot drive

two foot? as in to control the wheel spin?

Using gas and brake at the same time to regulate fwd and bckwd motion and wheeling. It's what the newer 4x4 do automatically when you turn the little **** to rock crawl mode.

I wouldnt do it unless you like to hear your tires chirp everytime you turn! Mine is like that now and I bought an 8.8 to replace it! It makes it annoying to drive on the streets. If that wont bother you then go for it!

WEll it is a trail rig and I do use it strictly for off road.It is also a C8.25 so I am going to go ahead and weld it since it is way cheaper than to add some lockers..Thx guys for the info.

Welding isn't a locker, its a spool. It would be cheaper to get a SPOOL. still more than welding but better.

No one makes a spool for the 8.25 because it's a c-clip axle.

Well guys I did end up welding the rear and it has made me go over obsticals that I was being winched out so I am happy with the outcome.Know 1more inch of lift and 33"tires.still not desided to go with bajas or grabbers.
