Weird sounds after lift kit installed

Hey guys, I have a 1995 Cherokee 4.0 HP. When I bought it it had about 200k miles and completely stock. I bought it from a guy who is selling it from his deceased aunt, so from what I can tell, it hasn’t been abused but maintenance was probably on the slim side. I ended up doing all the preventative stuff like oil changes, coolant flushes and stuff like that and generally fixing parts of the car that had issues. I recently put a RC 6.5 in long arm kit and 33s. After I got it back I’ve been noticing some sounds. I have ticking at about the middle of my Jeep right under the driver side door. I replaced the u-joint and the half moon brackets on the drive shaft and that tighten up a lot but I’m still getting the noise. It only happens while in gear and under load when I accelerate. And it’s pretty loud. Also, when I turn right while accelerating moderately, I get a thumping and bouncing, almost like I’m in 4WD, but way worse. I torqued all bolts on my steering linkage and it still continues. Also, when I accelerate from a stop going straight, I also get a similar feeling. Bumping, thumping, and almost like everything is loose. The ticking is the most of my consern. I think the ticking might be in the transfer case. I’m not sure. I feel like the rattling, might be motor and tranny mounts so I’ll replace those. Any similar experiences?

Just a question. Did you do any research before lifting nearly 7 inches?? You cant just slap on a lift kit and call it good, ESPECIALLY at that height.

you probably need a host of things. One being an sye

no, I kinda just did it. I have a SYE in the mail on its way actually.

There are so many things that have to be considered with that much lift. My first thought as well would be the need for SYE. Then you'll need to consider pinion angles. Did you have an alignment done after lift install. Did your lift include a new adjustable track bar? At that height you may have pitman arm issues...

yeah so, Right before the SYE showed up on my doorstep, the noise went away. So I feel its going to turn into a bigger problem but the SYE is installed. Now, I did have an alignment done and no new track bar which is currently in my cart along with a poly bushing kit. I had a shop do my lift kit, and they said they adjusted the pinion angle, but I will double check that. I’m not quite knowledgeable on that, so I’ll have to resort to YouTube for that one. 🤷🏻*♀️
