Shock angle, rear
So I'm measuring bump stop distance for compressed length of a shock (stock rear mounting points on body, welding brackets to 8.8). At an angle do I gain or lose length of travel thus being able to buy a longer shock? For instance, at ride height I'm 19", bump stops are 5" so do I get a 14.5" shock compressed? Or can I go longer?

You are going to have to go back to the days of high school geometry to figure this out. That is the only method I use for this stuff

you will gain the ability to run a longer shock if you mount them at an angle. however, the dampening characteristics of the shock wont be as effective when mounted at an angle.
to figure out what travel shock and how much bumpstop you need, you'll have to either flex it out and measure, or do some calculations.
