vibration,rumble sound
i have a 2000 jeep cherokee sport with a RC 4.5 lift on 32s. i just replaced ALL the u joints, balanced tires, aligned and the driver hub bearing to help with this noise...and it seem to be better( not perfect) once finished. but as soon as it got cold it seems the noise is back at take off underload, around 40 and around 70.
Now i one mechanic here in town said it could possibly be the High Volocity Joint going out, see as its getting cold and it will be louder when cold?
any ideas? is he right or should i check other things?
Thanks
Tee Jay

Yep that definitely sounds like the driveshaft angle is too steep coming out of the t-case. If it vibes while decelerating then the pinion angle down at the axle is to much. Degree shims will correct the pinion angle and a t case drop is a short term fix for the t case angle. Sye being the correct fix to your problem

I suggest using an angle finder.
Measure the current angle (call it Angle "A")
Loosen the u-bolts.
Raise the pinion with a jack.
Re-measure. (angle "B")
Subtract B from A = Amount of Shims (in degree's needed).
Lower the pinion and retighten the u-bolts.
Order the STEEL shims that you need.
DO NOT USE ALUMINUM. You'll spit them out in no time.
