dirtbound offroad flat fenders
I won a set of dirt bound offroad flat fenders, they came with no directions, I was wondering if anyone here has installed them and could give a few pointers

i finally got aholdof them, they don't have any instruction, basically the rivetnut go in the back and bolts and washer go in front

I have their fender flares front and back. They are a serious pain to install. The damn things are flat or warped the opposite way from the welding process. I used bolts and large fender washers on the inside of the body to help pull the plate steel into the body versus the other way around. The only place I used the rivetnut is on the rear fender flare between the door and wheel well where you cannot get behind the body panel to install a nut. The fit is OK at best if you take your time to install these while using big fender washers and nut the rivetnuts.

I won these in a raffle, and ended up paying less then $10 for, or I would be mad the 7 weeks shipping and minimal at best customer service

man that fits like garbage. i'd send that junk back.

I have a set of front dirt bound flat fenders that I put together as a kit. The first thing I noticed that the fender sheet metal piece was flat. So I rolled to match the fender contour. The bent tube is extra long so had plenty of length to fit the contour of the rolled sheet. My finished fenders fit the contours without force fitting. I would not buy a completed set for the reasons stated before. The build yourself kit is the way to go. I am not a fabricator but if you pay attention and go carefully, not bad.

I went back and reread you post... here are my tips... use lots of clamps to hold in place as you figure out the final position. I would try rolling or bending to match contour if possible. My fenders were already cut out around the raised bead around the wheel opening. Made positioning quite easy. Then simply trim both pieces to match desired wheel opening shape. once installed the fender assembly is very solid. For the small amount of money you have invested .. I 'd go through the trouble to install these bad boyz... you'll be happy you did.
