Default Vaccum disconnect

I found a parts jeep and would like to swap the axles into my jeep but the parts jeep is a pre91 and I have a 94. Can I swap in a vac disco axle and just swap shafts to my solid axle shaft. I've seen it on bleeping jeep but is there more then a seal, block off plate, and axle shaft. Is a pre91 same spline count.

You can mod the vacuum disco. So it'll act like a solid 1 piece shaft. Pull the actuator out, and when you see the fork moving.you can pull one of the C clips out hilf the piston and slide the fork down and put the C clip back in its original place. I did 4 months ago haven't had a problem with it yet.

*Hold the piston/shaft

On bleeping jeep he pulled the two piece shaft and put a one piece shaft in. I've also seen people convert the vacuum disco into a cable disco.

The 1 piece conversion is the way to go. Upgrade to the larger u-joints while you're at it.

If you want to do the delete kit that bleepin jeep used I ordered it for like forty bucks waiting on it to get here via USPS. Had a situation with my axles. Don't need it anymore. Will sell it to you for a lower price than I payed for it.

Might be worth asking what is wrong with your current front axle?

1995 or 1996 is when the larger 297x U joints became standard. ABS-equipped XJs always had 297x.
