Upper control arm frame bolt/nut help
So I'm in the middle of the disassemble portion of putting a 4.5" lift on.
I'm doing control arm drop brackets and new adjustable arms. On the stock upper control arms, I can not get the 15mm nut on the frame side bolt to budge, and there's not a lot of room to work. The bolt doesn't look very corroded at all (I'm not in the Rust Belt), but now the nut corners are rounded off. A regular depth socket is too short, and a deep well is too long. Further, after a trip to Home Depot, O'Reillly, and Auto Zone, it appears no one makes 6 point box end wrenches anymore. All I could find is more of what I already have, which is 12 point wrenches. Not good for stripped nuts. I did find a 6 point flare nut wrench, but that just slips as well.
This is killing me. I've already spent more time on this stupid nut than what I've spent removing everything else so far.
Any tips or tricks from you veterans that have done lifts?
