Default Upgrade front drive shaft

I have an 85 XJ that has the "stick in a can" front drive shaft. I am wondering if it is possible to upgrade to the better double cardan front drive shaft? Is it compatible with the HP30 and NP207?

Amazing that the Tom Woods shafts are the same price as a reman shaft from Advance Auto and Autozone(minus the core charge).

Mine has what appears to be the GKN design and it looks like that bolts directly to the transfer case output instead of to a yoke. Would I need to add the yoke to the transfer case or am I looking at it wrong?
