Doing the front springs for the lift on my 94 xj, Got the first one out (passenger side) had the new one sitting next to the old one, and it looks like there is only like a quarter inch or so difference in length between the new one and the original. I have a 1 inch spacer, wasnt planning on using it, but was wondering if i should cause it looks like the vehicle wouldnt sit level after the springs are in?? Just didnt want to go to all the trouble to find out i need the spacer anyway, laziness ensues!! By the way, its a 3-inch rough country kit, tires are 31x10.5 15 BFG km2 all terrain, pro-comp d-window 3.75 B/S

they look only 1/4 inch different, but they arent. they have different spring rates. my 8 inch coils are only 1.5 inches taller than a set of stock coils.

Ok, thanks. I thought there prob had to be a diff in compression rate, also i measured in between the coils, didnt account for the overall difference, my bad, thanks for the reply!

Also if you look at the wraps in the springs, you will notice your new springs are tighter wrapped than the stock springs
