u joints to CVs
I have a 2000 Cherokee with a 6" lift. I want to convert my front u joints to CV shafts. What do I need to do so? (What vehicle to take them from? Any other accessories?)

Why would you want to? Some zj's have em. If you bust a cv joint, you're sol and are forced to carry a new shaft in order to get out. Also, the boots will rip and get ****e in em which will wear out and eventually kill the joint. Or you could keep your u joint shafts, put in a quality joint, and be ready to get off the gas when you hear a pop.
Only cv joints id recommend would be rcv joints, but I don't know much about em to be frank.

RCVS would be the ONLY CV shafts I'd ever run and you're looking at a little over a grand for shafts for a D30 that's worth a quarter of that. ZJs did sometimes come with CVs but they are junk. If you're dead set on running them buy some for a ZJ, 55 bucks brand new, and see how long they last and you'll put your u joint shafts back in.

I run the cv axles from a 98 grand. But I won't really be doing much more than snow and the occasional field hauling for off road. Nothing like what I'm sure OP will be doing with that sort of lift.
