that should be just fine for a tree saver. just don't use it as a tug strap.

i usually but 4 inch tree savers, but 3 inch should be fine.

I'm sorry Amazon isn't letting me link to the Tuff Stuff tree saver strap I found.

If this is the strap you are asking about it states that it is a 30,000 lb rated 3 inch by 30 foot strap and it should be more than enough to handle the weight of a 4,000 plus lb jeep in a recovery.
I have two 30 foot by 3 inch straps that I've used for the last 6 years as recovery straps and a 12 foot by 3 inch tree strap. My straps aren't Tuff Stuff straps, but I didn't pay the stupid prices they ask for ARB, Warn, and Pro Comp either.
Smitty Built has a decent price on straps also.
A weight rating of 5-6 times your vehicle weight should be OK as long as the strap has been cleaned and dried after use.

Ive basket looped my tree saver across the my two front hooks, then my extraction strap to center of the tree saver, helps to distribute load to both hooks. Seems to have been effective on several extractions, no damage, traction of both front tires seems good, and doesn't cause my jeep to slew hard to the side when load isn't straight on.
