The controller I run on my personal jeep is a Zirgo digital with on dash digital readout and on the fly temp adjustments, the problem is it is a single stage all or nothing deal. They also are not willing to offer dealer pricing, so I had chosen not to sell them even though it is a great controller.
Most the good controllers that I like, are about $100 - 150 so I don't know if the average person will want to spend more than half the fan cost on the controller. The PWM would be my favorite choice.
The reason we switched to the current sensor setup was due to the fact the flex-a-lite controller we had been shipping with the kits where failing. I have not had one of the current model come back as bad.
Wiring the fans to come on with the AC is not a problem, just one extra wire to connect.
Here is a photo of the new shroud, you can see the divider in between.

Yes, the dividers touch the rows. I order a shroud from Dirtbound. They claim the shroud for the triple threat fan kit is for 10" dia fans. When in fact they are 10.75" holes, or 11" fans. So be carefull if you plan on using one of these thinking it's for 10" fans.
Also, this is a very poor design and very cheaply made. He uses very thin gauge aluminum, the dividers are not riveted in very well, and the threaded inserts are cheap cheap cheap.

We use a 10" fan blade fan and FF Dynamics uses a 8.75" fan blade. the actual housings are larger then that.

I have the tripple threat fans for a while now. at the begining My engine temp was running hotter with all three fans running. Then one of the fans blew its motor. FF dynamics were very helpfull to me, and they sent me a replacement fast. My question to whom ever owns the tripple threat system is: Does your control module get extreemly HOT. I have fried fuse after fuse. I overheated the other day only to find my fans were not on. The control Module was cooking HOT to the point it was begining to melt. All my grounds and connections are intack. I firmly believe the original control module is wrong for the system. I had to rig a direct wire from my battery to feed power to my fans just to get back home. Does any one have any ideas for me. Please!!!!

I've never noticed if my control unit was hot, but I never had an issue with it. My kit has work flawless since day one. I couldn't be happier. Maybe you just got a bad one.

One day while your out driving and if you have time, pull over and feel how hot the control module is. If yours doesnt get burning hot then it has to be the one I got is just plain bad.

There`s a tech at FF named Joe whom I spoke to in the past. This guy is a pro. But I could`nt get ahold of him this time. Why FF doesnt have a phone number for one to call with issues? I was told emailing is more efficient. So to make a long story short I was told to buy another control unit from them. The person who answered my email even offered me one at a discount, I thought that was very nice of him or her. Now heres the part that has left me baffled. This person told me the units that came with the fans from a few years ago had thicker wires. This has been my disagreement with FF about their current control unit. The unit gets intencely HOT, It fries the fuses one after another, and finally the wires used are too weak for the amps that flow thru them. Amen

Has anyone been blessed with the headace of having to replace one or more of your tripple threat fans? I wish I can find a more durable fan that can last. I have my fans about 4 years and I have had to replace all three one after another. for example like after a hot summer or even a cold winter. There has to be a better made fan somewhere. Can someone give me some onsight on this thanks.

I haven't had any issues. Atleast caused by the fans. My motor mounts were bad and the fan on the passenger side got killed by the pulley the factory mechanical fan mounted on. I haven't fixed it yet. It happened memorial day weekend and the other 2 fans still kept my xj cool.

They have a 3 year warranty, and the fans are made in Italy not China like FFDynamics & the universal 10" ones we used to carry.

& can I see a pic of your set up again?
i'm doing what ever I can to get ready for Arizona summer, and cooling the compartment will help.
i'm already hunting down some hood vents and a good fan set up would make life easier
