Default Transmission cooler in winter

I have been browsing through multiple forums and haven't been able to make up my mind on weather I should install my B&M transmission cooler in line with the radiator, run it independently (bypass radiator), or get a thermal bypass valve like this http://www.amazon.com/gp/registry/wi...quiresSignIn=1 to run it independently.

I live in Idaho and I will see temperatures up to and over 100 and all the way down to below zero. That being said what would you guys recommend doing? I do off-road occasionally and tow a 5x8 trailer as well.

FYI The B&M plate+fin transmission coolers have a built in flow restrictor until fluid warms up.

Here is the one I have:
Amazon Amazon

I didn't seen anything in the description, but if it does that would be cool.

It's described as a bypass to allow fluid to flow freely while cold.

I run the same cooler, by itself. On highway tranny is 140 F or below. In soft/deep sand it gets up to 180 F. Temp sender is in hot line which exits torque converter.
From my research, the only problem with running 'too cool' is premature clutch-pack wear.

Another outstanding cooler to consider....

Max cooling only when needed.
