So I'm kind of curious, who on this forum runs a lower ratio, or maybe a box4rocks setup. What did you use and why? I haven't heard many good things about the Teralow 4:1 kit. The 241OR out of the Rubicon is nice, but most used ones are going for 1500+. I'm looking to possibly build a doubler with a 231/300 so I can get lower than 2.72:1. 4.56 on 35s in the rocks with an ax-15 is a lot of clutch work.

What about swapping in a flipped dana 300?You can twin stick it easy and you can get a 4 to 1 gear set for 600 bucks.

Well for another 100, I can run the 300 behind the 231 in the box4rocks doubler, which would give me options of 1:1, 2.63:1, 2.72:1 and 7.15:1.

Yeah but you gotta do some floor beating for clearance with a doubler tho.

I figured I'd ask around. I heard of having fitment issues & I probably wouldn't mind beating the floor to make it got with a doubler. I've also heard the drive shaft doesn't clear the cross member. I'm just really not sure how much I want to spend yet.
