Default trans cooler

I installed a trans cooler in line with the radiator and it didn't change the fluid level when I checked it. Its a fairly big cooler 18x12. So I drove it around some got it good and hot checked it again and still no change. Shifts like it always has and pulls strong.the other day I was wheeling it in a nasty ravine and got in a narrow spot and had the passenger side almost on the ground if not for some friends pulling with a pull strap to keep me off my lid well I was going along till I hit a rough spot and stopped 2 get my line when I started 2 take off the jeep acted like it didn't want 2 pull then it picked up and pulled like always. Was the hesitation from almost being on its side could it be low of fluid and the dip stick not show it for some reason there is no kinks in my transmission lines or the rubber hoses for the in line cooler. I checked the fluid when I got 2 a flat spot and it was like before full. Any thoughts

Did the trans cooler have plugs in the li.es?
