Tranny question
M going to swap my Cherokee to a standard transmission. Will the tranny from a wrangler fit?

If they both have a 4.0l, yes.
If the both have a 2.5l, yes.
My son wants me to help him swap a manual into his '91 4.0.
I have a spare AX15 and a NV3500 5spd. Don't know which we'll do.
You'll need a pedle assy from an XJ though.

The easiest way to do a swap from an auto to manual is just to get a parts XJ that has all the parts you'll need. You will need the clutch, bell housing, clutch master and slave cylinders, and lots of miss. parts.
