Lifting my 96 sport and wasnt sure if an adjustable trackbar or fixed one with a bracket was a better idea. I have heard about the ends wearing out on the adjustable ones

Simple answer should have initially been given instead of wanting more info. Which is better? Adjustable or fixed track bar? If your going to do any more mods such as lifting or going off road a lot. Adjustable. If not, then a fixed will work fine.

If his lift is a 2" BB then the answers is a lot different than if he's doing a 10" lift, 44" mudders and a leaf conversion up front.
If you want good answers, provide as much relevant info as possible when asking questions.

WOW! Dude your way too "Serious" ! Calm down, this is a relaxed site with people who don't have your apparent knowledge, so mistakes will be made in asking questions. You come across rude and hostile. Chill-Ax. Please!

Your lift height makes all the difference on what you need or if one is even needed at all.
Even a 3" you need a track bar and a lot has to do with more information that you can give. I started with a cheaper adjustable one (it was installed when I purchased my XJ) but saw the error when I started correcting the mistakes of the prior owners El Cheapo 3" lift.
Not knowing exactly what you plan or have I would have to recommend a double shear adj. Track Bar to be on the safe side. Do it right the first time and then forget about it.
