Trac bar upgrade
Finished my lift now time to install my re heim joint trac bar....problem is I had to cut the old trac bar off where it goes into the frame mount. Its basically flush with that mount.. and I can't get the rest of the stud out. I tried drilling it out but my bit just spins on the part I cut. I have limited room with the drill from the tie rod. Any ideas on how to get it out... I've tried beating the **** out of it with a hammer too

The easiest thing to do if your having that much trouble, is go to your nearest Junk Yard and pull another trac bar frame mount off another stock cherokee. And install that one onto your cherokee. Its only 4 bolts.

No..where the ball joint goes into the frame mount is stuck..I cut the old one off basically flush with the bottom of the mount and can't get the rest of it out.

Unbolt the trackbar mount from the frame and work on it in a vice. 4 bolts, big whoop. Makes it a milliondy times easier to work on when you arent lying on your back with your axle and tie rod in the way.

The mount bolts are stuck. I don't really have a heat source. This sucks. I need this thing done by Thursday and this doesn't appear like its gonna come out

See if you can rent/borrow an air hammer. And even a small camping grill propane tank and a torch attatchment makes enough heat to help loosen frozen fasteners. Not as good as a oxy/acetalyne torch, but can help in a pinch and wont cost you much.
